I decided to go autocrossing at the Lamar Dixon Facility in Gonzales, LA today.

I drove my RS to this event. I arrived at the Lamar Dixon Facility around 7:00am. I helped the other board members setup the course. Once I got registered and passed tech, I walked the course a few times. Our local SCCA chapter splits up the runs into (2) heats. I ran in the Street Mod (SM) class. Since I'm a Cenla board member I don't necessarily have to work, so during the first session I was roaming safety in grid and the spectator area. Then I got (3) runs in the 2nd heat. We all took a lunch break. Session A racers got another (3) runs. However, the race had to be stopped around 3pm before the racers in Session B got their final (3) runs (including me).

A gun & knife show was going on inside a building in the adjacent parking lot. Around 3pm a shot rang out in the parking lot followed by someone screaming to call 911. I'm a certified Emergency Medical Responder, so I grabbed my bag and ran over. Another racer with our group is an ER doctor, so we quickly assessed the situation. A few moments later we had a tourniquet on the victim's leg and waited for the ambulance and police to arrive. Due to emergency vehicles parked on the course, the other Cenla board members and I decided to cancel the final session of racing.

Notes for my 54.610 run:

All racers in my session got 3 runs. My 3rd run was my quickest. Hero run almost worked.

1. Tune+ W400 kit, full exhaust, JBR motor mounts, JBR shifter
2. Launch control ON at 5000rpm. ESC + Traction Control OFF. Track Mode. Sport Dampers off (MCS TT1 suspension).
3. Programming = RDU module programmed to Stock, ABS module programmed with Soft Drift to eliminate Ford's Brake Assist.
4. 275/35/R18 Bridgestone RE-71R tires. Final hot pressures = 34 psi front, 20 psi rear. Camber = -3.1 front, -2.9 rear. Zero toe F/R.
5. Front MCS shocks at 15 out of 18 clicks, and the rear at 12 out of 18 clicks.
6. 3/8 tank of E30 from Racetrac.
7. 312.04 lb of weight reduction.
8. MCS TT1 suspension, Whiteline F&R sway bars, Pierce Motorsports F&R subframe braces, and Massive (Rear) Strut Brace + Camber Arms + Toe Arms.
9. Estimated vehicle race weight 3170 lb.
10. Odometer passed 6718 miles today.
11. Total runs on the Bridgestone RE-71R tires so far: (76).
